It’s your money. Let’s put it in your pocket where it belongs.

Virtually every day, companies mail checks that are returned by the post office as undeliverable. When a company can’t locate the intended recipient, they are required by law to turn the funds over to the State. Most of those dollars go unclaimed because the rightful owners are never made aware. That’s where I come in.

I am one of a small number of Asset Locators licensed by the State of Michigan. The Department of Treasury provides me with a list of people and organizations with funds being held “in limbo.” It then relies on Locators like me to track down the rightful owners of assets (or their heirs) and allows me to charge a reasonable fee for assisting them in claiming their funds.

I am very familiar with the process of filing a claim for missing money. Having a totally buttoned-up claim form and required documentation can expedite the processing and arrival of your check. You can rest assured your claim submission is on track for the quickest approval possible.

There is no upfront payment, and I get paid only after you receive a check from the State. Once that happens, my fee would be ten percent of those funds. Some locators charge more, but the Department of Treasury feels ten percent is a good number — and since I work closely with the staff there, I limit my fee to ten percent. If your claim is dismissed for whatever reason, you pay nothing. So there is zero risk.

Obtaining my Locator license required me to pass a rigorous background check which is your assurance that I am looking out for your best interest. You can confirm that Angels Hunting Assets is a licensed Asset Locator by contacting the Michigan Department of Treasury’s Unclaimed Property Division at (517) 636-5320, or TreasUPD@michigan.gov.
